Acceptable Use Policy

    This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes actions that Big Sky Telecom prohibits when any party uses our VoIP, messaging, faxing, and other telecommunications services (collectively, "Services"). This AUP is incorporated by reference into Big Sky Telecom's Terms of Service. By using our Services, you agree to comply with this AUP.

    Big Sky Telecom reserves the right to modify this AUP at any time, effective upon posting of the modified AUP to our website or by notifying you directly. Your continued use of the Services after any changes indicates your acceptance of the modified AUP.

    Users may not use Big Sky Telecom services to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

    • Illegal Activities: Using our Services for any illegal purpose or in support of illegal activities, including fraud, harassment, stalking, or violating telemarketing laws such as the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
      • Transmitting any material that violates local, state, national, or international law.
      • Using our services to threaten, harass, abuse, or intimidate others.
    • Fraudulent Activities: Engaging in fraudulent activity or impersonation, including unauthorized Caller ID spoofing or any attempt to mislead others about the identity of the sender of a message or caller.
      • Fraudulently representing yourself as someone else or affiliated with an entity you don't represent.
      • Using misleading headers or manipulating message routing information.
    • Unauthorized Reselling: Reselling Big Sky Telecom services or operating call centers or telemarketing operations without our express written consent.
    • High-Risk Use: Using our services for high-risk activities where failure of the service could lead to death, personal injury, or property damage, including life-support communications or mission-critical applications.
    • Network Abuse: Engaging in activities designed to harm our network or other users, including denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, hacking attempts, or distributing malware.
      • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any account or computer resource.
      • Attempting to intercept, redirect, or otherwise interfere with communications.
    • Infringing Content: Transmitting any material that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of others, including copyright, trademark, trade secret, or patent rights, or recording calls without proper consent in violation of applicable laws.
    • Harassing Communications: Sending harassing, obscene, abusive, or threatening communications, including hate speech, threatening language, or materials that are defamatory or discriminatory.
    • Spam and Unsolicited Messages: Sending spam or unsolicited bulk messages, including SMS, email, or junk faxes, without proper consent or in violation of applicable laws.
      • Using auto-dialers to place calls without proper consent.
      • Engaging in any activity that violates anti-spam laws or regulations.
    • Excessive Usage: Exceeding reasonable usage limits, including excessive call volumes, auto-dialing, or persistent call forwarding that may negatively impact network performance.
    • Security Bypassing: Bypassing security restrictions, rate limits, or engaging in unauthorized access to Big Sky Telecom systems or the systems of our partners or vendors.
    • Content Guidelines Violation: Violating content guidelines for SMS/MMS and other messaging services, including sending explicit or inappropriate content.

    Please provide the following information when reporting suspected violations:

    • The date and time of the alleged violation
    • The IP address or phone number used to commit the alleged violation
    • Evidence of the alleged violation
    • Your contact information
